Green, golden orange, and yellow abstract painting

One year and two paintings later

The two large paintings I started during my Vashon Artist Residency are finished.

Because the residency studios offered such generous wall space, I knew it would be challenging to find an affordable short-term  space that could accommodate me finishing them in Seattle. It was and after 6 a six month lease I finished the pieces and had the April open studio event. It was great to share the studio with friends and family and share the large work as well as smaller pieces I've been working on.

The large paintings are 54 x 238 inches and 54x 180 inches in size and have been an exercise in trust, exploration, and paint.
