Seattle exhibit June 10-12 at Form/Space Atelier

Thousands of sketchbooks are being exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the country. 28,839 artists from 94 countries were sent blank sketchbooks. Just under 10,000 books were returned completed — all of which will be on display during the 2011 tour. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be cataloged and available for the public to view. Claire shows 8 new prints in Grey Gallery & Lounge's juried exhibition "5 x 5." Five curators selected Claire Jauregui, Sean Alexander, Sara Owens, Julie Alpert, and Anna Garner to show prints, drawings, sculpture, installation, and photography April 8 - June 5. Located at 1512 11th Avenue, Seattle, Washington 98122, Grey Gallery's "5 x 5" attempts to explore the significance of emerging arts and the people involved in supporting it. The five national curators offer an outside perspective and definition of what emerging art looks like in Seattle.
